It didn't cost much money, so he figured that this would help boost her spirits just a bit. But the issue of giving gifts to girls was that you didn't know exactly what they were into or could predict their reaction. Monika liked literature, so he figured that this would do the trick. And also, Kotarou is a socially awkward fellow. Along with the book, there was going to be a letter written along with it.]

[By now the potion must have worn off, even if Monika had downed the whole thing, right? And truth be told, Caster was curious how it had worked for Monika.

So, she decided to give her a call- for once, she had the hood of her cloak down- but judging from the red shade of her nose and watery eyes, that might be to do with the magic flu that had been doing the rounds.]

Good day...I trust that you're done with your experiments? I'd been meaning to check in with you.

Oh, um, hello! [She looked surprised!] I'm so sorry I didn't contact you myself earlier... I've been very busy sorting my thoughts and emotions.

[ She'd been a bit ashamed, too. She'd erased her memories only to realize that was a bad idea. Speaking about having made her work for nothing. ]

Your potion worked amazingly well. I had a few moments spacing out, but that's about it. [She didn't mind those side effects really— Caster's potion was more than she could ever have done on her own. But she figured she might want to hear about that, should it help her perfect the recipe.] A friend I hadn't informed started really panicking— His attempts at triggering my memories succeeded so the potion's effects ended a day early. [She looked away awkwardly.] I think you were right... I... I didn't really feel that much happier. Or rather, I did but I couldn't appreciate it. It's hard to appreciate happiness when you don't know misery.

[ Being carried around by the wings of a Phoenix, there's going to be a basket! On it is tied a white ribbon kind of like the one that Monika wears. Inside will be found:

- 6 chocolate chip muffins
- 1 jar of spicy raspberry jam ( not too spicy actually )

There's not really a card to say who it's from. But there is, on that ribbon, a name. It just says "Hair Bow" so maybe that's a hint. ]

( Monika will have a gift waiting for her right outside her door! Asriel put together a picture book that he wrote and drew for her -- it's all about the friendship that they were able to form during their time together in Avalon. )

[Christmas really isn't his jam. But that's okay, because he'll do his best here! Monika is going to be getting be getting a set of new, fancy calligraphy pens! The only thing written on them is From Beowulf. Straight to the point! Also to make things cute, she gets one of these things. Is handmade.]

[Monika will find a mysterious present, wrapped in a cloth gift bag more suited to a Halloween gift than a Christmas one has been left on her doorstep by a certain evil witch.

The package contained a small jar, with intricate dark patterns waved into the edges of the glass. Inside, a sprig of forget-me-not flowers were suspended in bloom- with a note indicating that it shouldn't be opened until spring. Just a little ornament of sorts, to remind her of what she had decided.]

[ Truth to be told, Monika felt a bit guilty because she had never told him the truth about her "amnesia" afterward... Friend or not, that felt like something of a deception. Still, she was surprised at the message. ]

[ At first, he thought about asking her to meet him but... it was late. And it was snowing out. Probably a terrible idea all around. So instead he just sends a video feed, so they could at least... do something.

This needed to happen, he kept telling himself. She deserved to at least talk about it. And maybe... he could figure something out, too.

He was just sitting on the fur cot of the igloo, thankfully having gotten one to himself. Sukejan, cap, but... not even close to his usual smile or smirk. ]

[ She had expected exactly that to be honest, but really the video feed was better. It was so cold outside, she didn't want to catch a cold.

Monika was sitting on a sofa in what seemed to be a very cozy and warm-looking fireplace corner with cute bookshelves in the background— If he'd ever caught any of her videos from her channel, he would be able to recognize it as the place from which she recorded her "audiobook" videos. ]

[ At least that was a video feed of him where he wasn't broadcasting his pecs to the entire island. Progress? ]

[ Of course Minako didn't forget. It might almost seem like she was about to, considering she didn't say a thing as the day drew near, but she didn't forget whatsoever.

Because on the morning of White Day Monika will be able to find a cute present in the house, wrapped with pink gift paper, and with her name on it. If she opens it up, she will find both a note inside and something that looks like a heart-shaped pendant necklace. If Monika inspects said necklace, she will find that there's a small display on the inside - like a digital photo frame, except a very tiny version of it.

The note included reads: ]

Happy White Day! Are you surprised? Did you think I'd forget? The goddess of love has an iron memory when it comes to these things, you know! ♥♥♥

I hope you like your gift. I was thinking of preloading it with pictures of us, but then I realised that I grab your phone all the time whenever I take a selfie of us since I want you to be able to look at those photos whenever so most of them are on yours, haha! (´♡‿♡`) So I'm leaving the task of selecting the cutest photos of us and uploading them to that thing with your technopowers so you can wear them with you whenever!

[ If anyone ever dares saying she doesn't have the best girlfriend ever, she'll fight them right where they stand! Truth to be told, white day had totally eclipsed Monika's mind so this came as a total surprise. The gift was so cute and she couldn't wait to find the right picture for it-- But the message itself was the real gift here.

She may or may not have cried upon receiving this, and she may or may not have put the message in her inventory so she can re-read it whenever she feels a bit down.

She doesn't send anything in return, but is obviously planning on a mega-cuddle and thank you for as soon as she sees her. ]
